About TechHealth

TechHealth is a holding company and investment arm that believes a revolution in healthcare is coming – one that will challenge the status quo and push the limits in giving patients more control over their health and the care they receive.

TechHealth will be at the forefront of this movement as we redesign the healthcare landscape through technology, cost-savings innovation and care to forever alter how both providers and patients deliver and receive healthcare. The best way to innovate a business is to innovate the people within it. This is why, despite a system that has been historically hesitant to adapt to change, we have created a model that treats doctors like true business partners and patients like VIP clients. This demonstrates real promise, signaling that the industry’s resistance to disruption is at its breaking point. Founder and CEO Gina Bartasi believes that innovation in healthcare starts with technology; hence our name, TechHealth, and we will create enormous new possibilities and opportunities for the future. We will reimagine, reposition and reinvent how healthcare is delivered to consumers.

Gina Bartasi

Entrepreneur, CEO, Investor and Advisor

Gina Bartasi has been a serial entrepreneur for over 20 years with a proven track record of leading disruptive businesses through startup, M&A and rapid growth stages. In 2009, Gina founded FertilityAuthority, a globally recognized digital media platform for those struggling with fertility issues. In 2013, FertilityAuthority expanded its suite of properties by launching bundled, treatment plans called IVFAdvantage and Eggbanxx to help make IVF and egg freezing treatment more transparent, accessible and affordable for patients. In late 2014, Gina was recruited by blue-chip venture capital firms, Kleiner Perkins and TPG Biotech, to oversee the merger of FertilityAuthority with life sciences company, Auxogyn, leading the turnaround and divesture of its hardware division. In 2015, the combined two companies were renamed Progyny, and as Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Gina and the team created the first end-to end fertility solution of its kind available to self-insured employers. Through Gina's steadfast leadership, the company went through enormous transition while seeing exponential growth. Today, Progyny is the leading fertility benefits provider serving 14 of the top 32 Fortune 100 companies; and in 2017, CNBC ranked Progyny as #13 in their Top 50 Disrupter list.

After three successful exits, Gina has gained operational expertise, insights on healthcare, and on how to best serve clients. The answers to growing a business come from listening to and taking care of its customers as well as taking a serious interest in solving their pain points. It is for this reason, she strongly believes there’s more innovation to come as too many middlemen and bureaucracy remain in the healthcare industry. Gina is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Harvard Business School and looks forward to finding new solutions and redefining how quality healthcare is designed and delivered in the future.

Culture

Company culture is the personality of a company. Every company has a different style and its own unique identity. It includes the company's mission, goals, expectations; the way you work, how you behave when no one is looking, how you aim to grow the business, the way you treat customers, each other and how, ideally, you develop people. Much like TechHealth, what you see below is simple, strong, different and honest.

TechHealth Tenets:

1.   We invest in leaders, not followers.
2.   Being nice DOES matter.
3.   In the face of enormous success, remain humble.
4.   It’s foolish to mistake kindness and humility for weakness.
5.   Culture eats strategy for breakfast.
6.   Self-deprecating humor always wins.
7.   Don’t be afraid to own your mistakes; it will make you stronger, not weaker.
8.   92% approval rating on Glassdoor is our goal.
9.   We are all Rock Stars. If you weren’t, you wouldn’t be here.
10.  Risk failure over never trying.

What's Next

Healthcare is broken and on life support. There are too many middlemen standing in between doctors and patients. There are too many antiquated inefficiencies slowing down the quality of care. There is no cost transparency or adequate tools to help healthcare consumers financially plan. There remains gender inequity in both design and care of women.

We’re looking for kick ass CEOs, not ones who faint in the face of adversity or fail to put integrity over capital and doing the right thing. If you’re a Kick Ass CEO and determined to change any of these, reach out to us.
